Transnistrian economic agents will help reuniting Moldova – politician

The Transnistrian conflict will be settled only when the simple citizens from the both sides of Nistru will feel the benefits of the reintegration of Moldova, declared at a press conference, the MP Dumitru Braghis, leader of the Social Democracy Party. According to Braghis, who has recently returned from a conference in Great Britain, at which the settlement possibilities of the Transnistrian conflict were discussed, Europeans agreed over some settlement proposals. One of them is to reunite the country with the help of the economic agents from the left side of Nistru, who are tired of the difficulties put in their way by the leadership of Tiraspol. Another proposals accepted by the western officials, states the leader of SDP, is publishing a newspaper and opening independent and objective TV and Radio stations, which could be intercepted on the both sides of Nistru. These information sources could be created with the support of the mediators. OSCE Mission in Moldova declared previously its support for such a project, said Braghis. According to the same source, a special part of the discussion within the Conference in London was the monitoring of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. The participants supported the idea of expanding the monitoring on the whole perimeter of the Moldovan border, in order to eradicate corruption in the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova. The participants confirmed the necessity of continuing the negotiation process, excluding the unjustified conflicts between simple people and between economic agents. Another grievance expressed in London was according to Braghis, transforming the Republic of Moldova in a zone were the interests of West and East could meet together.
