The Transnistrian leader Igor Smirnov Wednesday annulled his own decision of October 10, which said that Transnistria will no more switch to winter time, following Russia’s example, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Igor Smirnov argued that both Chisinau and Kiev have a common meantime zone and the Ukrainian Rada recently decided to switch to winter time on the last Sunday of October, it is said on the website of the Transnistrian leader.
Igor Smirnov signed a decree, annulling the previous decision. Under it, the Transnistrian region will set the clocks one hour backward at 04.00 on October 30.
The winter time started to be used in 1974, when there occurred the first oil crisis.
