Transnistria creates its government

The breakaway republic of Transnistria will form its own government. A bill to this effect was passed in final reading by the region’s Supreme Soviet, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On its website, the Agency “Novyi Reghion” reported that the Transnistrian executive will be headed by a Prime Minister, who will propose candidates for the posts of ministers and local public administration heads. Under the bill, there will be instituted the posts of deputy head of government.
Supreme Soviet deputy Galina Antiufeev told the local reporters that the procedure for forming the government will be initiated immediately after December 11, when presidential elections will take place in the region. According to Galina Antiufeev, ensuring customs regulations will be among the priorities of the future government.
Almost US$470,000 was allocated from the region’s budget for creating the so-called government of Transnistria.
