The Supreme Council of Magistrates launched a nationwide campaign to inform the people about the integrated case management system, the hearing recording system and the information portal of the national courts of law. The campaign is carried out with the financial support of USAID and will last by the end of this May, IPN reports.

The Council’s president Victor Micu said that owing to the automation of the courts of law, the people can follow from home the way covered by the case in court, up to the final decision, through the website http://instante.justice.md. They do not need to call the secretary or to wait for citations at home. “Not all the countries in Europe have such a system. There are some technical glitches, but the program’s major goal is to eliminate manipulation and the human factor,” stated Victor Micu.

He noted that the automation of the courts of law will help bring the people closer to justice. The dialogue with the people is very important as it must be shown that the legal system is not a closed one.

A new version of the integrated case management system is being piloted at the Botanica District Court and at the Appeals Court. It will ensure more operation options and increased personal data protection as well as a facilitated management of cases.
