Training programs for potential election runners

In connection with the October 30 presidential elections, the Center for Continuous Electoral Training provides two new training programs for possible election contenders, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Center says the potential election runners by August 10 can ask for training seminars on the themes “Status of observers and representatives with consultative right to vote” and “Powers of those who collect signatures in support of a candidate for the post of President of the Republic of Moldova”.

In the training seminars, the participants will be familiarized with the rights and obligations of observers, the representatives with consultative right to vote and persons who collect signatures, the accreditation procedures and legal aspects of the activities of each category of representatives of election runners as well as with the procedures for collecting signatures, monitoring the electoral process and representing the interests of election runners within the electoral body.

The seminars will be held during August – September 2016.

The Center for Continuous Electoral Training under the Central Election Commission is a public institution that trains electoral functionaries able to hold free and fair elections, according to the international norms, and other players interested in the electoral process.
