Tragic start of week for two children and a number of adults

A child injured in a car accident is struggling for life. Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor of the Chisinau Ambulance Service, told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on Cuza Voda Blvd. on Monday morning. The seven-year-old child was going to school accompanied by his mother aged 30. A car went out of control, skidded and went into the pedestrians. The boy suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma, open fracture of the pelvic bones and a concussion and was admitted into the reanimatology section of the chidlren's hospital “Valentin Ignatenco”. His mother sustained contusions of the backbone and the thorax, while another pedestrian, a woman aged 43, received a cranial-cerebral trauma, contusion and other injuries. The women were taken to the Emergency Hospital. The ambulance crew said the man had an inadequate behavior, either because he was drunk or because he was in a state a shock. An investigation is under way. A Volkswagen ambulance that was transporting a seriously ill child to the hospital was involved in a road accident at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and Serghei Lazo St. The ambulance was struck by a car with Hancesti registration numbers. The child who had a temperature of 40° and his mother sustained head injuries. The pediatrician aged 60 suffered trauma of the backbone. Both of the cases are investigated by the Traffic Police.
