Tragedy recurs in less than a day – another minor dies inhaling combustion smoke

The tragedy repeated in less than a day – one more child has died at night on June 5 intoxicated with combustion gas and smoke. The PR official of the Fire and Rescuers Direction, Liliana Puscasu, has told Info-Prim Neo the fire erupted in a household in Ermoclia village, Stefan Voda district. The 13-year-old boy was home alone. Because there was no electrical power, he lit a candle and fell asleep. Firemen suppose it was burning in a plastic glass. The fire spread to the furniture, the carpet and other goods in the bedroom. In the morning, the neighbors saw the smoke pouring through windows, entered the house and found the boy dead. The case is probed by authorities. So far it is not know where the boy's parents were that night. On Wednesday night, June 4, other two children from Mereni, Anenii-Noi district, a boy of 8 and his sister of 11 died in the same way. At 5.00 in the morning, when their father reached home he found them dead in bed. The last day and night, 3 fires have been recorded in Moldova. This year, 879 fires have been recorded to have killed 104 people, including 5 children.
