The police call on the motorists to avoid the center of Chisinau on January 16 as two protests are planned to be staged there. The police will maintain public order and traffic security and will intervene if necessary, IPN reports, quoting the General Police Inspectorate.
The protests are organized by the Political Party “Our Party” and the Party of Socialists. These will be mounted in the square before the Parliament Building. The participants will reach the place by three columns: from the Circus, from the Cultural Center “Gaudeamus” and from the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
On the itineraries of the columns, traffic will be restricted and diverted onto adjoining streets. Between 9am and 3pm, the section of Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd between the streets Sfatul Tarii and Mitropolit Gavriil Banulescu- Bodoni will be closed for traffic.
Drivers are asked to travel carefully through the areas crossed by the columns of protesters and to obey the instructions of patrolling inspectors and the road signs and markings.
The National Patrolling Inspectorate said the protesters can park their units of transport near the Circus and by the roadside on the streets Grigore Vieru, Pan Halippa and Hancesti.
