Traffic restrictions will be in place at the weekend as Chisinau will host the annual cycling race Criterium 2019 on Sunday, preceded by a mass bike ride called Velo Fun on Saturday, the City Hall announced.
The Great National Assembly Square will be sealed off on Saturday. On Sunday, the restrictions will extend to the following streets: Ștefan cel Mare (between Al. Lăpușneanu and Armenească), Mit. Varlaam, Vasile Alecsandri, Armenească, and Al. Lăpușneanu.
Trolleybus routes 1, 4, 5, 8, 22, 30, and 31, will be detoured to București Street, as routes 10, 12, 24, 25, and 32 will be shortened to the Circus. Trolleybuses on routes 34 and 36 will also get a retour via București Street. Some bus routes will also be detoured. For further detour details visit the City Hall’s website.
