Traffic on a number of roads in Stauceni commune of Chisinau municipality was paralyzed as a result of multiple pileups at the entrance and exist of the settlement in the morning of February 16. One of the accidents involved eight vehicles.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati stated for IPN that the accidents were allegedly due to black ice and the exact number of accidents is yet to be determined. Patrolling inspectors are directing traffic on the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, a passenger minibus was also involved in a multiple-vehicle collision.
