The trade unions and employers will cooperate in defending the rights and interests of the salary earners and employers. According to a communiqué from the trade unions, the National Confederation of Trade Unions and the National Employers Confederation will demand setting a new minimum salary and abrogating the changes made to the legislation on the payment of allowances for temporary incapacity for work, Info-Prim Neo reports. The two partners pledged to sign a series of new collective conventions at national level concerning the professional training of salary earners, security and health at work and the socioeconomic protection of the young people. The two organizations insist on making the necessary amendments to the Labor Code, adopting the Law on the Minimum Subsistence Level as soon as possible and hastening the implementation of the action plan for combating the illegal payment of salaries and illegal labor.
