A state-owned plot of 32.2 hectares will be allocated free to the tractor factory SA Tracom for a period of 30 years for creating an industrial park on it. A decision to this effect was approved by the Government on June 15, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, the factors that led to the creation of an industrial park include the extremely inefficient use of the company’s assets, the 80% worn-out equipment, the low level of solvency, the risk of bankruptcy, and the credit debts of over 12.8 million lei.
It is planned that the given issues will be addressed by attracting investments that are projected to total €50 million.
“From conceptual viewpoint, the industrial park will preserve its area of activity, but will also accommodate such main fields as the motor and equipment industry, the electronics and information technology industries where there are manufactured high value added products,” said Valeriu Lazar.
There will be created about 100 workplaces.
The industrial park will be administered by SA Tracom.
