Tours to Moldovan wineries on National Wine Day

On National Wine Day, wineries across Moldova are opening their doors wide and to visitors, offering various tastings and entertainment shows. IPN has compiled a list of some of the most important wineries and their offers.

Mimi Castle: Visitors will be treated to young wine in unlimited amounts and skewers at the Open Air Kitchen. Live music performances will feature Zinaida Julea, Maria Iliuț, Felicia Dunaff and others. Transport is organized with the Chisinau-Bulboaca train. The ticket is 400 lei, and admission is free for children under 12.

Mileștii Mici: During this tour, visitors have access to underground galleries by electric train, starting at 10:00. Wine tasting is included in the purchased package.

Cricova: Offers a tour of its underground town, along with the tasting of 4 types of wine and a glass of young wine. Visitors can take part in guided tours and visits to the wine production and aging departments.

Château Cojușna: Tasting of 5 types of award-winning wines is accompanied by barbecue and good fun. Singer Lia Taburecanu and actor Emilian Crețu will be among the entertainers.

Château Vartely: The program includes unlimited wine and sparkling wine tastings, guided tours and interactive “Legend of Wine” screenings. The band Lupii lui Calancea will give a concert. Admission is 900 lei.

Comrat wines: This tour includes Chisinau-Comrat transport, guided tours and tastings of 5 types of wine. The entertainment program includes live music, contests and interactive activities, and the ticket is 350 lei.

Purcari Winery, with a centuries-old history that began in 1827 and got a second life in 2003, on National Wine Day, opens its doors wide on October 5 and 6 from 12:00 to 22:00. The program includes live music, DJs, guided winery tours and tastings of the new Sapiens wines. In addition, visitors can participate in a raffle with the grand prize of two tickets to the Bi-2 concert on October 14. Also, the à la carte menu will perfectly complement the warm atmosphere and hospitality of the winery. Admission is free.

These tours offer the opportunity to explore winemaking traditions and enjoy quality wines, along with entertainment programs and local cuisine.
