A tourist trolleybus going by tourist attractions started to run on the streets of Chisinau on August 1. It will be available on Saturdays and Sundays and will provide audio guides about the most important sights in the municipality of Chisinau in Romanian, Russian and English, IPN reports, quoting the Chisinau City Court
The first trolleybus route with a guide in Romanian will start at 10am, the second route in Russian – at 12 noon, while the third route in English – at 2pm. The last route, in the Romanian language, will be available again at 4pm.
The timetable can be modified depending on the flow of passengers or of the changes that can appear on the tourist itinerary.
The trolleybus has a seating capacity of 22. Children younger than seven must be accompanied by a parent. The fare for a trip is 30 lei.
During the state of public health emergency, measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be mandatorily taken.
The launch of the Tourist Trolleybus - Chisinau Sightseeing is aimed at promoting the important tourist attractions in the capital city. This way, the residents and guests of the capital city are invited to discover the history of the city, its streets and personalities.
The initiative is part of a project developed by the Chisinau City Court in concert with the National Inbound Tourism Association of Moldova.
