Tiraspol’s Prosecution Office holds in custody two suspects in organizing the trolleybus explosion. According to the self-proclaimed republic’s Prosecutor, Victor Zaharov, the law enforcement bodies arrested two Tiraspol residents charged with “keeping and trafficking illegal items”. Now investigations question their participation in the blast. Superior Inspector Alexei Dolta told reporters on Sunday that the blasting was committed on purpose, though it isn’t in any way linked to the minibus blast on July 6, which resulted in 7 casualties and 27 injured. Tiraspol’s law enforcement bodies claim that the blast was caused by two hand grenades, other two were found unexploded. At the same time, the trolleybus driver, Oleg Baharev claims that he has heard 3 blasts, including two similar to petard bursts. The RM Minister of Interior offered help to Tiraspol in investigating the case and the Minister of Health offered medical assistance. Tiraspol rejected Chisinau’s proposal, claiming to have everything that a victim of explosion might need. The blast in Tiraspol occurred at 14:00 and, as the latest data show, killed two persons, including a 6 year old child, and injured 10.
