Tiraspol toughens up penalties for delay in paying salaries

The Transnistrian administration toughened up the penalties for enterprises and organizations that do not pay salaries, scholarships, benefits and social welfare on time. Earlier, only the companies with delays of three months were penalized, but now this term is two months, as on the right side of the Nistru River, IPN reports.

According to the TV channel “Pervyi pridnestrovskii”, the fine imposed for delaying the payment of salaries is 400 to 700 minimum official salaries in the Transnistrian region, which is equal to 3,200 – 5,600 lei.

The organizations that will pay to people less than a half of the money to which these are entitled during three months will be fined 300 to 600 minimum official salaries, which is 2,400 – 4,800 lei.

On the right side of the Nistru, the overdue payment of salaries, social welfare, state social insurance and health insurance contributions and other allowances is fined 1,000 to 2,000 lei for private individuals, 2,000 to 4,000 lei for persons holding responsible posts and 4,000 to 6,000 lei for legal entities.
