The Transnistrian administration decided to set up nine additional checkpoints enabling access to the region for the period of the Easter holidays. Under an order by the Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk, the checkpoints will work between May 4 and 6 and between May 11 and 13, IPN reports.
Earlier, Yevgeny Shevchuk and former Premier Vlad Filat agreed that the regime of crossing the Nistru will be facilitated on Easter. The Transnistrian leader decided that a facilitated regime will be also instituted on May 9.
On the border with Ukraine, there will be opened the following checkpoints: Valea Adanca – Zagnitkovo, Vada-Turkovo – Shershentsy, Ploti – Crutye, Tsybulevka – Ţehanovka, and Vinogradovo – Novye Butory. Those who go to the Transnistrian region from the right bank of the Nistru will cross the following checkpoints: Grusca – Nemirovka, Krasny Okteabri – Vertiujeni, Rascov – Vadul Rascov, and Teia – Calfa.
The migration card wasn’t annulled. Only the state officials will be exempted from filling it out. The persons who will stay in the Transnistrian region for more than three days are asked to register with the local inspection and security bodies.
