The Transnistrian administration decided to modernize the checkpoints on the Nistru River from this year by introducing an electronic document checking system. The migration card that is now filled out by those who go to Transnistria will be gradually eliminated, IPN reports.
According to the information agency “Novostipmr”, Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk in a meeting said the Transnistrian administration intends to facilitate the border crossing procedures for the people, except those who do not obey the law, are put on wanted lists or have debts.
A common database with information about the citizens will be created in order to improve the work of the public institutions.
