The yellow security alert in the Transnistrian region has been extended again. Under a decree issued by the de facto leader of the region, the alert will be valid until October 6.
At the end of April, the Transnistrian administration first introduced a red alert following a series of explosions that occurred in the region. A month later, the alert level was downgraded to yellow and was extended later.
Among the introduced measures are the requirement to register citizens when moving through checkpoints set up by Tiraspol, and heightened inspections of vehicles entering or leaving the region, and of those located in railway stations.
