Tiraspol designates August 15 as day of mourning

Tiraspol’s authorities announced August 15 as a day of mourning, to commemorate those who died in the blast on Sunday, August13, near “Pricernomorie” shopping mall. The flags were lowered and all the amusement events were postponed in the city. For three days, requiems are held in the churches of the city.
According to the Olvia-Press News Agency, the city’s authorities allocated to the families of the victims 20,000 Transnistrian rubles for funerals. The injured persons will also benefit from allocations from charity funds. Now their amount is calculated.
The explosion resulted in two casualties, including a 6 year old girl, citizen of the Russian Federation. Other 11 persons were injured. The explosion happened at 13:55, in a trolleybus on the route no.2, in the micro-district Kolkotovaia Balka. According to preliminary investigations, the explosion was due to a RGD-5 grenade.
