The Transnistrian administration denies that servicemen are being trained in the region for being sent to Odessa. It calls on the representatives of the Ukrainian authorities to personally verify the information, IPN reports.
The reaction comes in the wake of reports that Russia is sending employees of its special services to the Transnistrian region for strengthening its military contingent and occupying other areas of Ukraine. Russian troops were already deployed in the Crimean Peninsula, which decided to withdraw from the composition of Ukraine following the replacement of the government in Kiev.
According to the Tiraspol agency “Novostipmr”, no answer was given to the invitation to the Ukrainian authorities to pay a visit to the Transnistrian region.
The Transnistrian administration describes the aforementioned reports as provocative and calls upon the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry not to disseminate unverified information so as not to escalate the situation.
