The administration of the Transnistrian region decided to modify the procedure for importing excisable products. According to the Transnistrian press, the measure is aimed at encouraging external trade and at increasing incomes in the region’s budget, IPN reports.
So, the so-called executive of Transnistria adopted a decision by which it abolished the rule that banned the import of excisable goods by legal entities that were registered less than two years ago. The decision already came into force.
The Transnistrian region faces a series of economic problems following a drastic decline in external trade. The region’s administration is looking for possibilities to increase the budget so as to be able to pay pensions and salaries.
