The Transnistrian region has announced that it accepts the European Union's offer to provide an emergency financial grant to overcome the humanitarian and energy crisis, IPN reports.
However, the Transnistrian side expressed concerns about the lack of precise information on the details and parameters of this support, which led to a number of contradictory interpretations among Moldovan officials.
At the same time, the self-proclaimed authorities in Tiraspol stressed the need for immediate and clear communication between specialists in order to accurately define the terms of the proposal and avoid any confusion.
TSV Pridnestrovie of Tiraspol reported that 3 million cubic meters of gas are enough for the Transnistrian region for only 10 days, taking into account the current regime of scheduled power cuts and the night activity of many enterprises.
Representatives of the Transnistrian regime proposed to quickly organize a meeting to discuss in detail the support offered by the EU and to clarify any uncertainties that arose from the previous interpretations of the Moldovan officials.
This initiative comes at a critical time, when the energy and humanitarian crisis in the Transnistrian region requires urgent measures. The financial assistance is offered with the aim of significantly contributing to the stabilization of the situation on the left bank of the Nistru.
