Three young men die in a road accident

Three young men died and another one was seriously injured in a road accident happened on Thursday, 10 August, on the highway Causeni – Anenii Noi, near Mirnoe village. According to MAI Press Center, the speeding was the main cause of the accident. A young man aged 22, resident of Chircaiesti village, Causeni, driving an Opel-Vectra, lost control over the steering and hit a tree. As result of the impact the driver and two passengers, aged 27 and 23, died on the spot, and another person, aged 23, was hospitalized in a very serious condition in a Causeni’s hospital. The same day, in Caracusenii Noi village, a Volkswagen-Sharan car, driven by a man, aged 43 hit deadly a pedestrian aged 22. According to the police, a Volkswagen-Passat speeding on Gagarin Blvd. injured deadly a pedestrian aged 57. Since the beginning of the year, on the roads of Moldova 1,126 traffic accidents were registered, resulting in 174 casualties and other 1,669 injured. The main causes of the accidents are speeding, disrespecting traffic signs, drunken driving, overtaking and neglecting pedestrians on crossings.
