Three underground passages situated on Șoseaua Hâncești St near the South-West Bus Station were inaugurated after repair works. The works were initiated last autumn. During three months, there were repaired the stairs, set up ramps and awnings at entrances. The walls and ceilings were painted. A lighting system was built and the drainage channels were cleaned, IPN reports.
The Chisinau City Hall said that about 4.5 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for the purpose.
Another three pedestrian underground passages are being repaired in Botanica and Buiucani districts of Chisinau.
During the last two years, there were rehabilitated nine of the 20 underground passages in the capital city.
