Three soldiers saved a drowning woman and a child

Three soldiers of the 1001 Military Unit saved a woman and a child drowning in one of the lakes from Valea Trandafirilor park, in Chisinau. The carabineers Ion Lupan, Denis Ursache and Ion Lupu, will be decorated with the “Praiseworthy” medal of II degree for saving from drowning two persons. According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a woman teacher together with 3 pupils, were walking near the lake, when one of the children slipped and fell into the water. The teacher tried to save him, but both of them were almost to drown. Fortunately, their cries of help were heard by several carabineers, patrolling nearby. The soldiers managed to get them out of the water. Expressing her gratitude for the help, sacrifice spirit and courage of the rescuers, the teacher sent a letter to the Carabineers Troops management. By the order of the deputy minister of internal affairs, the commandant of the Carabineers Troops, Iurie Cozma, the carabineers Ion Lupan, Denis Ursache and Ion Lupu will be decorated with “Praiseworthy” medal of II degree for initiative spirit and professional skills.
