Three persons severely injured in road crash

Three persons sustained severe injuries in a traffic accident on a local road some kilometers away from Chisinau shortly after midnight.
Dr. Eufalia Negreata of the Chisinau Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo that a Daewoo taxi, driven by a 38-year-old man, went off the road and ran into a tree. A couple of moments after the impact the car burst into flames. The driver and the two occupants managed to get out of the car before it burned completely.
Ambulance and fire crews from Anenii-Noi and Chisinau arrived promptly to the scene, finding the victims badly injured. They were rushed to the Chisinau Emergency Hospital.
A 31-year-old driver of a motor scooter braked too late and hit a Peugeot car in the rear at a signaled intersection on Independentei Street. The woman ended up with fractures of both clavicles and multiple contusions, being admitted to the Emergency Hospital.
A nameless young man in his early 20s was found in alcoholic coma on Andrei Doga Street. He was taken to the Holy Trinity Hospital.
On Wednesday and Thursday early morning the Chisinau Emergency Service recorded 735 calls, including 61 cases of trauma, 90 cases of acute viroses, 2 brain strokes, and 8 cases of acute coronary syndrome.
