Three persons lost their lives in a terrible road accident near Rascani

Three persons died and 10 were injured in a severe road accident, occurred Thursday evening, November 16, on Chisinau-Brest-Odessa highway. According to the police, at 18.00, while driving on the Chisinau-Moscow route, a Mercedes bus, belonging to the “Orizont” Company from the capital, turned over near Mihailenii-Noi village, Rascani. A man, aged 54, from Sangereii-Noi, and other 2 young men of 26 and 25, from the Minjir village, Hancesti, died immediately. Other 5 passengers – 2 of them from Minjir, aged 21 and 31, a man from Zubresti village, of 38, another one from Siret village, Straseni, aged 30, and an inhabitant of Balti, aged 57 – suffered serious wounds, and were hospitalized in Rascani Raion Hospital. Other 5 persons with minor injuries received medical care. In order to take people out of the damaged vehicle, the rescuers, from the Rascani section of exceptional situations intervened. Policemen think that the accident produced because of speeding, as result of which the driver lost control of the steering. Since the beginning of the year, 2837 road accidents produced on the highways of the republic, resulting in 288 casualties and wounding of other 2365 persons.
