Three persons died from alcohol intoxication

Three persons died yesterday in Chisinau because of alcohol intoxication. Coordinating Doctor of the Chisinau Urgency Service Eufalia Negreta told Info-Prim Neo that alcohol caused the death of a man, 36, from Causeni. On Thursday, the man visited his friends’ apartment on Ginta Latina Street, where he drank himself to death. Chronic alcoholism led to the death of a woman, 59. Alcohol intoxication caused the death of another man, 60, who was found breathless this morning. A homeless person, aged between 50 and 55, was assaulted by other vagrants. He was found on Ismail Street with a stab wound in the right side of the chest. A man, aged 30, tried to commit suicide by taking pills. However, he was found and admitted to the Holy Trinity Hospital for detox. Over the last 24 hours the Urgency Service recorded 620 calls, of which 59 cases of trauma and 6 brain strokes.
