Three people, including minor, die after falling from height

Three people, including a minor, died on June 26 after falling from upper stories of buildings in Chisinau. The corrdinating-doctor of the Emergency Service, Sivia Babara, has told Info-Prim Neo that, at about 14.00, a minor of 15 fell from the 6th story of a block on Vadul lui Voda str. No other circumstances are known about the accident. The minor lived in the same house, at another floor. At about 21.00, a man, aged 67 years, living in a house on Calea Iesilor str., slid and fell as he was trying to pass from a balcony on the 5th floor to his apartment on the 4th. He was still alive when the ambulance arrived, but died on his way to the hospital. Last night, at about 2.00, a woman of 22 years jumped from the 7th story of a dwelling block on Mircesti str. and died at once. All the 3 cases are probed by the police. A man of 26 broke his spine after jumping into a lake in Botanica district. Doctors say he could remain paralyzed for life, as this is the second case of this kind happening these days in Chisinau municipality. A man aged 53 called for the ambulance after suffering an insolation. The same diagnosis was established for a trolleybus driver, who told doctors he worked in his garden, his head uncovered. The last day and night the Ambulance Service got 763 calls.
