Three pedestrians injured on Chisinau roads

On Wednesday, January 23, three pedestrians, two of whom minors, were injured in traffic accidents on Chisinau roads. Ion Roscovanu, Road Safety Inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police, told Info-Prim Neo that the accidents took place within 2 hours from each other.
The first accident occurred at 11:30 on Renasterii Blvd. A Volkswagen-Passat car driven by a 28-year-old man struck a pedestrian, 23, who was admitted to the Emergency Hospital.
A 9-year-old was hit by a Mercedes car with Orhei plates on Florilor Street. The boy suffered left leg tissue injuries, being hospitalised for an extensive investigation.
Stricken by a trolleybus on Muncesti Street, a 16-year-old boy was taken to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital with his left shank bones fractured.
Besides these three accidents, police officers recorded during the day other 23 minor ones, fining 64 drivers for ignoring traffic lights, 122 for speeding, 21 for driving unbuckled, 15 for drunk-driving, and 15 pedestrians for jaywalking.
