If snap parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, three parties would enter the legislative body. These are the Party of Action and Solidarity, the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists and the Shor Party. The PAS would gain 27.8% of the vote, the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists – 26.9% of the vote, while the Shor Party – 5.7%. The other parties would not pass the election threshold. Also, about one fourth of the respondents haven’t decided who to vote for or if they will go to the polls, shows the sociological survey Vox Populi for May 2021 that was presented by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of Moldova, IPN reports.

Of the about 75% of the decided respondents, 37% would vote for the PAS, 35.8% for the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists, while 7.6% for the Shor Party. Other parties would not pass the election threshold.

Asked how they consider the current election campaign goes, almost 63% of the respondents said this takes place without violations. 19.5% of those surveyed said “with some violations”, slightly over 8% said “with a number of violations”, while over 9% said they don’t know.

Almost 36% of those interviewed said the elections are free and fair, while about 44% consider they are partially free and fair. 14.7% of those polled believe the elections are not free and fair, while 5.6% said they don’t know.

The people were asked about the Moldovan political personality they trust the most. 27.5% of the respondents said they trust President Maia Sandu, while 25.6% – the leader of the PSRM, ex-President Igor Dodon. The two are followed by the Communist leader, ex-President Vladimir Voronin (6.3%), Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grechanyi (4.9%), the leader of the Shor Party Ilan Shor (4.6%), mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban (4.3%), the leader of Our Party Renato Usatîi (4.1%) etc.

The respondents were also asked which of the political personalities would cope best in the post of Prime Minister. 36.2% of those polled said Igor Dodon, 11.5% - Ion Ceban, 9.9% – Ilan Shor, 6.7% – Ion Chicu, 5.3% – Renato Usatîi etc.

The poll covered a sample of 1,185 persons from 85 settlements. The margin of sampling error is +/-3%.
