After processing 860 election reports of 2,150 reports, PAS is shown to have won 43% of the vote, BECS – over 32%, while the Shor Party – over 8%. These are the preliminary election results presented by CEC, IPN reports.
CEC president Dorin Cimil said the elections took place without major incidents and in conditions of full transparency. All the polling stations in Moldova were closed at 9pm. The voter turnout inside the country was 44%, which is 1.465 million voters. The most active were the voters from Ocnița, Dondușeni, Soroca, Râșcani in northern Moldova, Șoldănești, Rezina, Orhei, Criuleni in western Moldova and also Chisinau and Ialoveni in the central part of the country. Over 54% of the voters were women. More than 33% of those who cast their ballots were aged between 56 and 70.
By 10pm, Chisinau time, the polling stations in Russia, Romania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and other states in Central Europe were closed. Another 35 polling places continue work. There were made no requests to extend the voting period.
CEC will submit the final election reports and the list of MPs for validation to the Constitutional Court within five days of the receipt of all the related documents from electoral constituencies.
