Three groups were inaugurated in a newly built block at Kindergarten-Crèche No. 125 “Romanita” located in Center district of Chisinau. The municipality said the project to build an annex for two groups and the complete renovation of another group cost 9.3 million lei, IPN reports.
In the inaugural ceremony, mayor Ion Ceban said that the municipality will continue to support the educational sector in the field of infrastructure – repair, extension and modernization of buildings of institutions – so as to create the best possible conditions for children and educators and to motivate young specialists to work at home and bring up a well-trained generation, tomorrow’s future of the country.
The mayor noted that the investments made by the local public administration in social infrastructure the past few years amounted to about 12 billion lei. The money was allocated for the rehabilitation of buildings, thermal insulation and energy efficiency improvement works.
A number of rehabilitation projects were carried out a Kindergarten-Crèche No. 125 the last four years, including the extensive repair of the cooking block, laundry room and music hall, the rehabilitation of sanitary facilities and pavilions. The investments came to about 14.4 million lei.
The kindergarten has welcomed children for 52 years, being founded in 1972. At present, the institution is attended by 177 children.
The construction of the new block started at the end of 2022 and the works were executed in accordance with European requirements – energy efficiency of the building, securing and adapting to the needs of beneficiaries. The groups are fully equipped with furniture and the necessary aids, both for educational activities and for administrative-organizational and sanitary activities.
