Three more parties have put forward candidates for the post of mayor of Balti municipality. These are the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), the People’s Party (PPRM) and the Party of Socialists (PSRM). The head of the Balti District Electoral Council Vitalie Balan has told IPN that the Council will hold a meeting on May 5 to examine the documents submitted by the applicants.
Vitalie Balan said the PLDM fielded Balti councilor Boris Marcoci, the PPRM – businessman Nicolae Chirilciuc, who is a member of this party, while the PSRM – the party’s co-chairman Vladimir Dorojko. All the three parties submitted also the documents needed for having their candidates for the posts of Balti councilor registered.
The Balti District Electoral Council earlier registered the candidates for the mayoralty of Balti proposed by the Party of Communists (PCRM) and the Democratic Party (PDM) - Octavian Mahu and Sergei Kiseliov. The competition for posts on the Balti Municipal Council now involves the PCRM, PDM and PSRM.
