Three more Moldovan wineries have been invited by Rospotrebnadzor to submit wine samples for sanitary evaluation. These are Acorex Wine Holding, Grape Valley and Zolotoi Aist. A press release posted by Rospotrebnadzor on its webpage mentions the positive nature of the results of the activity for resuming wine and brandy exports from Moldova. In addition, the press release says that “there have been issued expert conclusions for 136 types of products made by seven producers of alcoholic beverages”, suggesting that 7 companies are allowed to export their production, without naming them explicitly. At present, Rospotrebnadzor is checking compliance of the samples submitted by 12 Moldovan wineries with the Russian sanitary and epidemiological standards. Until present the media in Chisinau named 5 companies – DK-Intertrade, Vismos, Calarasi Divin, Kvint, and Buket Moldavii – which have already received the permission to export to Russia. Among the companies that were invited to submit their samples are Asconi, Basvinex, Vinaria Purcari, Migdal-P, Romanesti, Vinaria Bostavan, and Lion-Gri. Rospotrebnodzor announced that it will examine the requests of all the producers willing to access the Russian market. In the spring of 2006, Rospotrebnadzor, Russian trade and sanitary inspection authority, banned supplies of all wines from Moldova for sanitary reasons.
