A minor drowned in a pond near Cimislia town on July 26 in the afternoon. The 14-year-old boy was far from the bank when he experienced difficulties and disappeared in the water, Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo.
The Cimislia frogmen took his body out of the water at about 3am.
A 60-year-old man drowned in a pond situated not far from Alunis village, Rascani. Villagers found his body in half an hour.
Another man, 53, drowned in a pond in Carnatenii-Noi village, Causeni.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, 85 persons, 19 of whom children, have died in Moldova's ponds since the start of this year
