The code-yellow warning for sleet and glaze ice has been extended for three more days. The State Weather Service has also issued an advisory cautioning people about the dangers of thin ice on all bodies of water, IPN reports.
According to the Service, ice-coated roads will remain a hazard across the country during December 9-11. Freezing rain is also forecast from Monday to Wednesday. In the first part of the week, temperatures will be around 0 …-5 degrees C at night and -2...+5 during the day.
Owning to freezing temperatures during December 8-12, ice will continue to form on bodies of water, but people are advised to keep off due to its thinness.
