Boxers Alexandru Paraskiv (63.5 kg), Vasile Cebotari (71 kg) and Daria Kozorez (+81 kg) have qualified for the semifinals of the European Championships held in Belgrade and secured at least the bronze medal, IPN reports.
They beat Malik Hasanov of Azerbaijan, Jovan Nikolic of Serbia and Reka Hoffman of Hungary.
Among those who competed in the quarterfinals are also Ion Plînga (48 kg), Danila Ocoman (57 kg), Ianuş Caravan (67 kg), Davron Bozorov (75 kg), Dumitru Coșiug (80 kg), Andrei Chiriacov (86 kg), Andrei Zaplitnyi (92 kg), Nicolae Burduja (+92 kg), and Iulia Coroli (54 kg).
The European Boxing Championships in Belgrade ends on April 28.
