Three Moldovan children living in Ukraine without parental care were repatriated last weekend, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child. The boys aged 11, 14 and 15 are from the Transnistrian region. They had lived for several months in the Ukrainian town of Odessa. They come from vulnerable families where the parents are alcoholics. Two of the boys are brothers. Only one of the minors completed seven classes, while the others attended the school during 3 and, respectively, 2 years. The three minors have been accommodated at social centers. Afterwards, the authorities will decide on the best ways of protecting them. During discussions with social assistants, the minors said they do not want to reintegrate into the biological families. The repatriation operation was organized by the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. This is the third operation of the kind carried out by the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child this year. A child from Ukraine and another one from Sweden were repatriated earlier.
