Three minors injured in ceiling collapse accident

Three minor children suffered injuries when the ceiling of a room in which they were collapsed. It happened in a house in Causeni town. Following the incident, the children were admitted to the Căușeni District Hospital with post-traumatic shock, spokeswoman for this Hospital Cristina Țurcan, who also heads the Pediatrics Unit, has told IPN.

Cristina Țurcan stated that the three-year-old and one-year-old children and the older girl were hospitalized on December 24. The children remained under supervision on the weekend. The girl was discharged from the hospital in a satisfactory condition, while her younger brothers are in stable condition and today were transferred from the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit to the Pediatrics Unit.

Press officer of the Căușeni Police Inspectorate Mariana Didenco said that the accident occurred on the evening of December 24. The police officers who travelled to the scene preliminarily established that the ceilings of one of the rooms where there were three children aged one, three and 14 had fallen down. The parents were in the adjoining room when this happened.


An investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of this case.
