Three inhabitants of Chisinau were arrested on suspicion that they stole things from cars by jamming the alarm system’s frequency with a handmade device. The police caught them in the act of entering a car parked in a yard on Andrei Doga St in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said the investigation lasted for almost a month. Evidence of the involvement of the three in at least eight car burglaries committed by identical methods in Chisinau was collected in the period.
The Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office charged the three and placed them in remand detention for 30 days. They face up to six years in jail.
The suspects are aged between 32 sand 39. They were earlier tried for different offenses committed in Moldova.
