Three Moldovan lyceums will benefit from assistance for extensively studying the German language. Deputy Minister of Education Igor Grosu and the Ambassador of Germany in Chisinau Matthias Meyer on June 18 signed a declaration of intent on the promotion in Moldova of PASCH schools - “Schools: Partners for the Future”, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Education, the project covers the lyceums “Nicolae Gogol” of Balti and “Mihail Kogalniceanu” and “Titu Maiorescu” of Chisinau. The three education institutions will benefit from support, technical equipment and continuous formation courses for teachers.

The German side will delegate teachers who are native speakers of German to provide assistance to the three schools. On graduation, the students of the lyceums will be able to obtain a German Language Diploma (DSD) showing that they know German. This document will facilitate access to studies at German universities.

The three lyceums are attended by over 2,000 students.
