Three localities from Moldova to be gasified this year within FISM-2 and EGPRSP project

The Fund of Social Investments from Moldova – 2 (FISM-2) announces contests for the gasification of the estates from 2 localities in Briceni raion and one locality from Soldanesti raion. According to the web-page of FISM, the Government of the Republic of Moldova received a Credit from the International Development Association (IDA), a part of which will be used for covering the cost of the gasification project. In this way, the construction of the natural gas pipeline with subsequent gasification of the school from Balcauti and of some social buildings from Halahora de Jos, both located in Briceni, will be financed by IDA. As well, a contest for the gasification of Cotiujenii Mari village, Soldanesti raion, with further connecting to the pipeline of village’s kindergarten is announced. The sub-project will be implemented with the technical support of FISM-2. The interested construction companies will present to the Fund the offers for the implementation of construction works. The Government has announced recently that it will undertake all the necessary measures in order to connect all country’s localities to natural gas pipelines by December 31, 2009. FISM-2, a Governmental project, is created with the assistance of the World Bank, aiming at implementing the Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (EGPRSP).
