Three killed in road accidents on May 9

A drunk driver without driving license generated a road accident and as a result two persons died - father and son. Chisinau Road Security Inspector Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occurred on Wednesday evening at 20:40 on Chisinau-Leuseni roadway, 11 km from Chisinau. The driver of a Ford-Transit minivan, driven without license by an intoxicated man aged 28 collided with an Opel-Ascona, driven by a man, 23, who was travelling with his family. The crash killed the driver’s father, 58, and grandfather, 84. At the same time, his mother aged 50 was injured. She suffered mental shock and plague of the elbow. Also a girl aged 7 suffered multiple plagues of the head and face. The driver of the other vehicle suffered head trauma and mental shock. The driver of the minivan and his brother aged 22 suffered head traumas, mental shock and plagues of the face. Another man aged 52 died at 13.30 on Gagarin Boulevard being hit by a Mercedes minivan. The accident occurred at several metres from the underground crossing, which was ignored by the pedestrian. During the last 24 hours, the police officers registered 9 road accidents that killed 3 and injured 10. The road inspectors fined 16 intoxicated drivers, 53 who performed prohibited manoeuvres, and 52 speeding drivers.
