Three killed, about 70 injured in road accidents this year

Speeding and driving under the influence continue to be the major causes of road accidents, deputy head of the Traffic Police Division Serghei Rotari said in a news conference on Tuesday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Three persons were killed in accidents on the national roads so far this year. One of the fatal accidents happened on January 7, when it is celebrated Christmas according to the old style. It claimed two lives, of a man and his wife. The next day, a 24-year-old man died in a car crash in Harbovat village of Anenii Noi district. About 70 persons were injured in the over 40 accidents with victims that happened since the start of this year.
