Three injured on Chisinau roads on Friday

Three persons suffered various injuries in the traffic accidents that occurred on Friday, March 21, in Chisinau. All of them have been hospitalized, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Chisinau Emergency Service, at around 18:00 a 1407 taxicab collided with a Volga car in the intersection of the streets Miron Costin and Florilor. As a result, the passenger in the cab, a 19-year-old young man, suffered brain concussion. Approximately at the same hour, a 52-year-old man was stricken by a Volkswagen car while attempting to cross Socoleni Street. The pedestrian fractured his left shank bones and got multiple bruises. At around 3:00, an unidentified vehicle struck a motorcyclist and fled the scene. The biker suffered head trauma and brain concussion, being admitted to the Emergency Hospital. The 450 traffic accidents recorded since the beginning of the year were fatal for 62 persons. 390 other persons were injured. This month alone the road toll has surged to 14, with 155 other people being hurt.
