Three co-villagers of Grigore Vieru die in car accident

Three persons were killed in a tragic traffic accident that happened in Grigore Vieru's native village on Monday evening. Paulina Yakimovski, senior PR specialist at the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened in Pererita village of Briceni district. A speeding Ford-Mondeo went out of control and went straight into a tree. The 54-year-old driver and two occupants aged 26 and 43 died on the spot. A similar accident occurred on a local road in Edinet district. A Scoda-Octavia driven by a 28-year-old man crashed into a tree. The driver was hospitalized with a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion. Two minors were involved in an accident on the Plopi-Donduseni road. An Opel-Omega driven by a boy aged 15 went out of control and ran into a tree. The 16-year-old passenger suffered a concussion, while the driver was unhurt. A driver aged 53 and two female occupants aged 18 and 27 received injuries when their VAZ car overturned on an uneven road. Three persons were killed and ten injured in nine road accidents yesterday and last night. The traffic police imposed 824 fines, including 236 for speeding, 79 for traveling unbuckled and four for DUI.
