Three bodies found in household in Unguri

Three bodies, two of which in a carbonized state, were found in the household of a man aged 43 from Ungur village of Ocnița district, IPN reports.

According to the police, the call to the 112 Service was made at about 2:30am last night. When on the spot, the police officers found the body of a man with signs of a violent death in the yard of the house. After the fire was extinguished, two more bodies were found inside the house. The victims haven’t been identified yet.

Criminal proceedings were instituted and a working group consisting of officers of the National Investigation Inspectorate and prosecuting officers was constituted to investigate the case.

Another fire occurred in an apartment on Ion Creangă St in Ungheni municipality. The call to the 112 Service was made at about 8:30pm. The General Inspectorate for Emergencies said the fire was extinguished by three firefighting teams. The apartment owner, a man aged 39, suffered burns on the face and was taken to the hospital for medical care. The firemen evacuated three children and an adult from the stair as these risked being poisoned by fumes. The fire was allegedly caused by a smoldering cigarette.
