The Chisinau Zoo now has three new young bears who were brought from the Lutsk Zoo in Ukraine last weekend, IPN reports:
During the first days, the bears went through a period of adaptation, being supervised by veterinary specialists of the Chisinau Zoo. To ensure the faster accommodation of the cubs, one of the largest enclosures was laid out. On its territory there is a lake, which is very appropriate for this period. The bears, who successfully adapted to their new place of living, feel good and began to explore their new home, said workers of the Chisinau Zoo.
This is the first exchange of animals carried out under a series of agreements concluded between representatives of the Zoological Gardens of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. Thus, a llama and a couple of Patagonian maras left Chisinau for Lutsk.
